Giving Back

We believe it is important to be active in the community that we help build. That’s why Alten Construction and its employees actively give back to worthy causes within our neighborhoods and towns.

Alten Construction has donated to many worthwhile causes, such as Whistlestop, which provides transportation, educational and social activities and affordable meals to seniors. In honor of the many educational facilities that we build, we also donate to Oakland Ed Fund, a fundraising organization that benefits Oakland public schools.

Our work with Rebuilding Together Oakland helps to rehabilitate our neighborhoods by repairing and improving the homes of some of our most vulnerable citizens, including people who have a low income, are disabled, veterans or the elderly. Rebuilding Together Oakland also repairs non-profit community buildings that serve low-income communities, providing the neighborhood with a much-needed, safe space to call their own.

We are humbled and proud to be a part of such a vibrant, energetic community here in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is our pleasure to do our part to help create a better life for all of us, both now and in the future.

As active members in our community, the people at Alten Construction partner with small, local businesses and schools to help our communities grow.

Alten takes an active role in enhancing our children’s experience of the world.
Over the years we have provided elementary and high school students with tours of our project sites, allowing them to learn firsthand about design and construction. Once our students get older, they can participate in Alten’s internship program, providing experience and opportunities for career growth within the industry.

Alten Construction is pleased to be able to give back to our community, both individually and as a company. Together, we build stronger communities.
