RICHMOND, Calif. – Alten Construction, a full-service San Francisco Bay Area commercial construction company, recently welcomed Howard Burgess to its team as a superintendent. Burgess brings more than 24 years of experience in the construction industry to the firm. He has extensive knowledge in the public works sector and has completed projects on educational facilities, firehouses and county buildings, among others.
In his new role, he will perform pre-construction services, work alongside and collaborate with the design team and field crews, supervise on-site contractors, assist with purchasing, execute quality control measures and implement environmentally friendly project goals to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) certifications. Prior to joining Alten Construction, Burgess served as a construction superintendent for another large builder in California and helped manage projects , including the Salmon Creek Falls Environmental Center, Lloyd Hance Community School, projects for the County of Sonoma and improvements to Novato San Marin High School.
