Responsibilities
  • Project Organization - Directs the work flow consistent with the project schedule, communicates project priorities to field staff and subcontractors, maintains daily reports and timesheets of all activities and site conditions, and manages the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance.
  • Project Manager - Works with project manager in formulating project schedule, ensures that the proper methods and sequence of installation are followed makes and follows through with schedule commitments, and maintains the company's quality standards.
  • Subcontractor Relations - Maintains good working relationship with all subcontractors on the project, develops relationships within the community, which enhance business opportunities, and ensures subcontractors perform efficiently . Measure the performance of the subcontractors’ and implement strategies and safety protocol to eliminate claims and injuries.
  • Risk Management - Ensures complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders, understands subcontractor scope of work to avoid unnecessary change orders, and identifies problems early and acts immediately to provide solutions.
  • Develops and organizes the field team, arranges for temporary facilities/utilities for the site, and identifies long lead items that need to be expedited.
  • Project Safety - Understands and administers the company's safety program to include all subcontractors, ensures that all accidents/incidents are promptly reported and investigated, and assists in safety inspections by outside agencies. Follow company IIPP procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years Public School experience, DSA experience, ADA experience, wood framing & concrete experience. RESIDENTIAL DOES NOT QUALIFY
  • Proficient at reading plans and specifications for all trades.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Primavera P3 and Expedition.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work assignments, and extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills. Primavera 3 - Primavera 6
  • Applicant must be experience in project supervision of federal and state funded projects, manage self-performed work & scheduling.
  • Must be 30 Hour OSHA and First Aid Training certified.
  • Must live in the Bay Area.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities
  • Manages project cost and schedule and forecasts labor, material & equipment on a monthly basis
  • Supervise all construction activities of assigned projects from start to finish.
  • Develop a baseline schedule and maintaining the construction schedule throughout the project.
  • Administrates all aspects of the subcontracting process
  • Produce and submit the following documents accurately: RFI's, RFI Log, Change Orders
  • Assist in reviewing shop-drawing submittals from subcontractors.
  • Supervise superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality control and project compliance.
  • Resolve problems as they arise from the plans and specifications, unknown existing conditions, conflicts, with Architects, Engineers, Designers, Subcontractors and/or Vendors.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the completion of all punch lists.
  • Ensure that all construction work performed is of the highest quality.
  • Research materials, means, and methods for projects.
  • Develops business and client relationships
  • Provides direction, oversees, and works effectively with Project Engineers and Project Coordinator.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a Project Management role on public works construction projects. RESIDENTIAL DOES NOT QUALIFY
  • Provides leadership in training Superintendents and Field Crews on Alten Construction procedures, construction and safety methods.
  • Working knowledge of all phases of construction and subcontractors.
  • Prepares and updates Precon and Construction Master Schedules.

The Project Engineer is responsible for promoting and ensuring site and office safety, and assisting the Project Manager and team members in the planning, coordinating, and administration of their assigned job to ensure the work is completed on time, within budget, while adhering to Alten’s quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate job site set up and develop site logistics plan
  • Review field inspection reports and communicate deficiencies to supervisor
  • Responsible for record drawings, create and maintain document control logs to track documents
  • Write, distribute, coordinate and track RFI’s
  • Review all trade specific RFI’s for potential, cost and/or schedule impact
  • Develop and update project schedule with Project Manager and Superintendent
  • Track weekly trade performance against project schedule, review delay log to ensure trade delays have been incorporated into schedule and provide team update
  • Review specs and identify all required submittals, prepare submittal schedule, and communicate scope changes
  • Track and enter timecard information into Procore
  • Understanding of different contracts and purchase orders; provisions, terms, language, insurance requirements and claim resolutions and warranty
  • Responsible for promoting sustainable construction and coordinating project LEED requirements
  • Promote safety during the performance of all daily project responsibilities
  • Track and perform jobsite safety meetings, participate in safety meetings, present safety topic, maintain attendance log and binder
  • Perform daily jobsite inspections for compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain project progress photographs
Skills & Experience
  • Working knowledge of contract formats; draft, and issue change order(s) scope to subcontractors with oversight by APM or PM prior to issuance
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of surveying, scheduling, drawings, and construction sequencing
  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to use MS Office with proficiency (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Required Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture; or Construction Management Certificate from an accredited university with minimum two years as an Assistant Project Engineer, or relevant construction experience
  • LEED GA preferred

We are seeking a Class “A” Commercial Driver with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.

Responsibilities
  • Daily Vehicle inspections
  • Experience with roll-off truck, semi-truck with equipment trailer, end-dump and street sweeper
  • Operate all vehicles in a manner that is safe lawful and represents the company in a good light
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist with additional warehouse duties
Mandatory Requirements
  • Position is subject to all DOT regulations including:
    • Pull Notice
    • Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • Experience with roll-off truck, semi-truck with equipment trailer, end-dump and street sweeper
  • Observance of all safety protocols and laws of the State of California
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently (bilingual in Spanish a plus)
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Clean DMV Record – Provide Printout Less Than 14 Days Old
