Acting as the general contractor, Alten Construction constructed multiple projects under one contract to build two new essential services buildings in excess of 8,000 sf:
These essential facilities included an elevator, an apparatus bay, associated equipment storage, a kitchen, a dayroom and a fitness room. Site development included sidewalks, vehicular drives, parking lots, fencing and gates.
These buildings also incorporated complex building systems, such as a VRV control building management system by Daikin and a 187 KVA Emergency Diesel Generating System.
Self performed work included structural concrete building foundations, wood nailers, CMU bucks/embeds, trenching, as well as installation of site furnishings, appliances and lockers.
