College of Marin Photovoltaic Parking Lot

In 2008, Alten Construction collaborated with the Marin Community College District and Alfa Tech Cambridge Groupto install sixteen photovoltaic solar array panels in the parking lot of the Diamond Physical Education Complex at the College of Marin. In order to properly secure each steel-framed solar array, Alten Construction set poles in concrete drilled piers and mounted the arrays. As part of the project, power and control wiring were extended to the adjacent PE complex inverter station.
