Alten Construction provided the pre-construction services for the construction of a new classroom building for Menlo-Atherton High School. The work performed under a lease-leaseback (GMP) contract included demolition of the existing building and foundations.
For phase 2 of the project - the construction of the new campus, Alten acted as the general contractor. We managed all of the trades throughout construction and self-performed the structural concrete.
The new two-story, 75,000 square foot classroom building is equipped with advanced building technologies, such as a building automation system with web-based interface. It includes multiple classrooms, office and conference room spaces, flexible program space, a food service area, and a student commons area. The campus was also developed with new concrete paving, utilities and landscaping.
