Acting as the prime contractor, Alten Construction collaborated with San Jose Evergreen Community College District, Gilbane Building Company and LPAS Architecture + Design to complete construction of a new, LEED Silver, concrete tilt-up physical education building for San Jose City College.
The new building has a spectator gymnasium, fitness center, exercise lab space, training rooms, classrooms, staff offices and a second floor terrace.
The project includes installation of a new elevator; all new mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems; a new fire sprinkler system; new finishes; site utilities; irrigation and landscaping.
