OUR Company > Our History
Alten Construction’s history is filled with significant moments that drove us forward as a company and contribute to our current success.
We’ve come a long way from when we first began in Bob and Shannon Alten’s basement in 1995, when they put up their own home and personal property as collateral for their first performance bond. Now, thanks to their leadership and commitment to providing clients and employees with the best experience possible, Alten Construction is one of the most well-respected general contractors in the San Francisco Bay Area and has more than 100 employees and $75 million in annual revenue.
We are proud of our homegrown history, and look upon our business as our second family. We invite you to review an interactive timeline that shows the major milestones that we have achieved throughout the years.
